  • Team Details: Team name, chosen challenge track.
  • Participant Identity: Full name, college/institution name, department, year of study.
  • Contact Information: Student email address and mobile phone number for event communication.
  • Transaction Records: Payment order ID and transaction status (processed via Cashfree).

02 Purpose of Data Collection

Your details are used exclusively for:

  • Verifying team eligibility and issuing event admission e-tickets and QR codes.
  • Communicating schedule updates, challenge briefs, and emergency announcements.
  • Planning hackathon kits, ID badges, venue seating, and catering logistics.
  • Disbursing awards and certificates to winners and participants.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Your information is never shared with third-party advertisers, telemarketers, or commercial data brokers.

03 Payment Security

All online payments are processed through Cashfree Payments, an RBI-regulated payment aggregator with PCI-DSS Level 1 certification and 256-bit bank-grade SSL encryption.

HORIZON 2K26 does not collect, store, or have access to your debit/credit card numbers, UPI MPINs, CVVs, or net banking passwords.

04 Cookies & Storage

Our public website does not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising trackers. We only use essential session tokens required for security (such as administrator portal authentication) and temporary local storage to remember your display preferences.

05 Data Retention & Rights

Registration records are maintained until the conclusion of the event, certificate distribution, and required institutional audit periods, after which non-essential records are safely archived or erased.
